Happy St Patty's Day
Yes, another amateur drinking night. For those who celebrate, have fun and be careful out there.
It's St. Paddy's, not St. Patty's. Last year I went out in the Financial District and met a guy I dated for 6 months before he moved overseas. You never know who you'll meet, so don't be so judgmental. I'm 35, hardly an amateur.
Is that a regional thing? Glad you met a guy there. Drinking holidays are not my thing, to each his own. Good luck tonight and let us know if you meet someone!
I had a blast last night at a block party with live music. I'm sure certain neighborhoods had more of an amateur feel but the FiDi didn't feel that way at all.
BTW that Anonymous is right, it's St. Paddy's. Every year my friend Patty makes a Facebook post about it.

DeleteAnd by amateur night, I mean a drinking holiday where those who don't drink all year come out to get sh*tfaced and vomit in the streets
DeleteNo, Paddy is the short version of Patrick. Patty is the short version of Patricia.
ReplyDeleteI heard there was a lot of mayhem on Saturday after/during the parade, so maybe all the amateurs will be home tonight. :)

I went out on Saturday for it too, but chose my neighborhoods appropriately so it didn't feel at all juvenile. Just fun.
