Horrible Event

My friend dragged me to a match.com Stir event over the weekend.  It was horrible.  I hadn't been to one of those in years, now I remember why, I'm not missing anything.  Why was it horrible?
  1. Ladies outnumbered the guys (that's okay, see reason #2)
  2. No guys I would willingly want to see again to in a million years (one guy was interviewing me for the role of wife...no thank you)

  1. I snuck into one earlier this year and it was terrible. There was less of a gender disparity but the whole thing was awkward - my girlfriend and I were followed around by a well-meaning sweet guy who clearly was autistic, and then later we saw a guy making the rounds collecting #s like he owned the place. Those events are horrible.

  2. Okc is having an event as well. Luckily it sold out so I don't have to subject myself to that.
Is it me or does everyone get weirdo messages from men who are in their 50s and 60s or different countries? This week I heard from Thailand, Rome and Trinidad. Wtf?

    1. I don't get guys from other countries or 50/60 year olds. I get a lot of broken English gangster types

    2. I get tons of guys from foreign countries. This week I got Morocco, a first.

  3. At least you SHOW UP to such events. To everyone else who’s experiencing frustration in the dating world, here’s a fun blog to read. It’s about a guy and all the “dating games” he’s experienced with dating women:

While he’s detailing the games women have been playing, I’m sure it’s true of both sexes.

I've been to a few dating events myself and it's usually the men who outnumber the women because women just can't be bothered...I think a lot feel "down" if they have to go to such places to meet men? Thoughts?

    1. I don't like going to these events because I am totally disinterested in all the guys I've seen at these events. I've been to at least five over the past four years. It's like, why bother, I already know what's going to turn up
