I Don't Know
I'm going on a date with Travel Guy tonight. When we go out, it's always a pleasant time, I just don't think I see him romantically. At least, not right now. I don't think it will change, but it could? I am going to tell Travel Guy tonight. Perhaps, I'm not ready for a relationship. If I were to meet the man of my dreams tomorrow, would I be ready for a relationship? I don't know. I don't think so?

What will make you "ready" for a relationship, do you think? Sounds like you have a job and a place to live, and emotional stability, so it's hard to see what the issue is.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading the blog for awhile and seen you date a lot but not enter any real relationships, at least that you've shared with us. Maybe with one exception. You also talk about how maybe you are not cut out for a relationship at all. So why keep dating and then complaining about it?
I believe I'll be ready for a relationship when I meet the right guy for me and he is onboard with what my idea of a relatuonship looks like. He needs to be fairly independent and not want to spend all his time with me. I had no idea that I would attract the opposite, men who want to spend all their time with me.
DeleteYes, I don't normally talk about my relationships on here until they are close to the end LOL
You are entitled to your privacy, certainly. But by never discussing actual relationships, it's easy for your readers to jump to conclusions and assume you are not interested in relationships at all. Or that you believe most men aren't good enough. I get it, there's a lot of ridiculous dudes out there.
ReplyDeleteSo it would be interesting to hear you discuss what you *do* like in relationships or about specific guys.
I'm very disinterested in being in a relationship just to be in one, have someone, et al. Of course, they can't make my life worse LOL.
DeleteOff the top of my head. Someone who is independent/non clingy, not dependent on me to save him, comfortable to be around (some people have angry or anxious energy), effortless conversation, and able to laugh and generally in a good mood. Perhaps this can be summed up with, someone who was happy and capable before I came along
Attraction too
DeleteI find men have the mentality that they'll date someone they may be semi interested in but not for the long term, or they are sexually motivated. I hate dating and relationships be I don't want to settle or waste time w someone who is just "alright" or " a good time" knowing he's not for me. My time is precious so I am picky. I've done the relationship just to have a relationship...but I was 17. Just my thoughts. Dating is far different between men and women.
ReplyDeleteI agree! Many of my male friends will date the same girl for years and years just to "have someone." I always tell them, they should make it very clear to the girl. Time and mental energy are both precious.
