Repeat Date

I have a repeat date this weekend.  He is someone I met for drinks at the end of 2014.  On our date, he asked very detailed questions about the rest of my night, week, et al and I got the sense that he was scorched/cheated on in his last relationship.  Our second date was supposed to be dinner, but I cancelled because I wasn't feeling well and I wasn't sure about him.  He did not accept my cancellation graciously, which was no problem.  So, I was shocked when he emailed and texted me every month since then.  I'm giving him another shot; it's just dinner.

    2. Yup. I barely get a second date. Hmph...

    3. Sorry to hear that! I met most of the guys who keep coming back evenly split between online and in person. Pondering, it is age related? Mine are usually late 30s to somewhere in the 40s. This guy I'm having dinner with over the weekend is early 40s. What age range do your men fall in?

  2. That never happens to me, either. Everyone is so sensitive around here, I feel like I have to tone down my east coast attitude just to not scare people off! Like the new look, btw.

    1. Hrrmmm, maybe keeping the east coast attitude will cause it to happen? It happens to me, a lot. I'm going to give it some thought!

      Thanks, TJ!

  3. It's easier for a guy to ask out a girl that he's been out with before or at least chatted with. It's harder to start from scratch. And most guys go for the easiest solution.

Regarding Anonymous above, I don't think it's an age thing. I date guys in my age range (I'm 32 and stick to 30-35, never older than that), and I get plenty of the ones that will text 6-12 months later. About a month ago I got a text from a guy I'd chatted with online in Oct 2014 but he flaked on our first date completely, and has been begging for a chance since. I actually did relent and give him a second change in Nov 2014 but he flaked again. Now he texts on occasion to see if I'm single. And there's 2-3 more that resurface (including one who sent me a picture of his massive you-know-what)!!

    1. I knew it wasn't just me getting these guys who keep coming back. Readers, in case you are asking yourself this question, yes, Sabrina is hot, I've seen her. Sabrina, do you reply to his texts?

Re: guy sending pics, sending a pic of a massive one is better than trying to get you interested with a small one, LOL

    2. Why thank you, AG :) I admit I DO respond to the texts about half the time, to kindly remind him that I'm not interested, regardless of my relationship status. He's kept asking to meet up just as friends, which is silly.

    3. You're welcome! Haha because he really just wants to be friends ;) Do you think responding might be giving him hope? He could be thinking, "Yes! She's still talking to me!"
