Goal Oriented

One of my very good (and incredibly intelligent) New York friends has spelled it out for me.  New Yorkers (in general) are all around goal oriented.  Maybe this is why I've had so much trouble adjusting to life on the West Coast.  The guys I've met in the San Francisco Bay Area don't seem to have personal life goals.  Sure, they have career goals, but that seems to be where it stops.

  1. Completely agree with you. I feel like the men in SF are floating in terms of their personal lives. They want to be like children forever.

  3. Uh, it's not like their goals are to find a nice woman, settle down and have kids. Men in NYC want to make a lot of money, bang a bunch of models and hang out at the next big thing. I don't see how that's different ...

    1. From what I've seen, in NY it's A) make a lot of money and get a bunch of models, then B) find a nice girl, get married, and have children. SF guys don't really seem to want models or a nice girl

    2. C) have affairs with bunch of models

    3. They wish, lol. Unfortunately, I do know a lot of unhappily married NY men. Most of them got married in their 20s and now that they are in their 30s...

  4. It's Peter Pan land here. Why settle down now? Why not wait a few years when your app explodes, you're a millionaire, and dozens of girls are throwing themselves at you?

But the NY stereotype is make a lot of money, marry a nice girl and move to Long Island or Connecticut, but keep an apartment in the city so you can use it to bang younger women.
