Homecoming Queen

As cute as this wedding announcement is, I don't think the homecoming queen would have gone out with the "shy nerd" if he wasn't rich and well bred (like herself).  Once again, I feel the angry comments coming my way.  Think about it this way, would someone with her pedigree and life experience marry an elementary school friend who ended up a McDonald's burger flipper?  I don't even need know her to know the answer, no.

    That Thrillist article is SO TRUE and so depressing. I've been on a few dates with a guy who has pretty much done (not done?) all of those things. The not paying I can understand - he's a grad student and is only making part-time income right now. But man, I miss being taken on a proper date. Feels like the culture here, at least in my friend group, doesn't allow for it.

      Read similar thrillist articles about NY, LA, and Chicago. They're mostly the same...no one goes on real dates and there's too many options.
