This Happens Every Year

This happens every year around Thanksgiving, the number of guys who contact me on my many dating sites increase dramatically.

  1. That's not really surprising. The holidays are a lonely time for single people, and there's more time off, away from work to spend looking at dating sites and reading profiles.

    2. Just because you're single doesn't mean you're lonely at the holidays. I really don't like this stereotype.

    3. I'm with you. I love not having to attend holiday parties filled with screaming children, drunk overly friendly relatives, etc. I have a sense of freedom from being single around the holidays

    4. I wrote the first comment. What I meant is, the holidays CAN be lonely when it seems that everyone around you is either getting engaged or doing cute couple-y things. Maybe I'm just sensitive to the massive amounts of Facebook bragging I see by the smug couples.

    5. It's always more fun to be alone than engaged to someone icky ;) I've noticed my friends who post a lot on Facebook are kinda the most miserable, but want to appear great. Love being alone around the holidays, no getting dragged to boring parties
