Such Immaturity

1) Wow, what a day with all the election talk

2) LOL, such immaturity in online dating. I was blocked by a guy because he didn't like my answer to "Let's grab drinks tonight."  All I said was, "Tonight isn't good, another night?"  This tells me he's not very interested to begin with and possibly crazy

  1. And expecting a date the same day he asks? Really? I wonder how often that's worked for him. Was he under 30? ;)

    1. He was in his 40s. What's happened to "men?"

  2. That's really common though. A lot of guys use the app for immediate company, when they're bored or traveling. I've also heard guys say they assume a girl is "playing games" if she says she's not available. It's stupid.

    1. I didn't know that. What happened this week, first time ever for me. So ridiculous

  3. Ah #2, I got dinged a lot for that. I had one guy call me "boring." Another told me he was looking for someone "more spontaneous" (when I said no to attending a concert at 10pm on a Tuesday for a music genre I hated).

So many men just never followed up when I politely said "I'd love to but I have plans tonight, how about Wednesday?" Guys get rejected a lot on dating apps/sites and so they feel slighted at the smallest thing. It sucks. I've heard the same thing as Anonymous, some men think it's a game when a girl says no even to last-minute plans.

    1. Hi Sabrina, have your friends in other cities experienced the same things? The not being "spontaneous" enough or not hearing back when an alternative date is suggested? I wonder if we get it more in SF than other cities

  4. I think both guys and girls should communicate more clearly about their intentions. Guys usually think asking out right away shows their masculinity and it is basic math. You are right faced with plethora of rejections and flakes many of them just try to adopt a more dominant behavior.

An easy solution can be if you are very picky or have a certain type just don't give them any reason to work out their game.

    1. Dominant behavior is not slinking away or blocking someone because they already have plans for the evening. That's more passive aggressive than anything.
