2nd Date

So, this guy asked me out again.  I haven't replied yet because I really don't know if I want to go out with him again.  He had a pleasant time, but there wasn't any chemistry.  I can't even remember what he looks like.  I guess I could give it another shot, but wouldn't that be a waste of time?

  1. The chances of you having chemistry on a first date from online is rare. Online dates are practically blind dates. They're a way to actually see the person and talk face to face. Are they attractive to me? Is their personality pleasant?

I think that chemistry happens once you both become a little more comfortable with each other. That could take a few dates. Hell, it might take meeting each others friends or even sleeping together. But on a first date? Good luck with that.

    1. I have a very tough time with the attractive part, like good looking guy, but I don't see myself wanting to make out with him kind of a thing...is that how chemistry is defined?

    2. Chemistry is probably a hugely subjective thing. But I would consider the attractiveness thing a taste. I've met plenty of good looking women. But there has only been a few that I personally found attractive.

Chemistry, to me, is more about how you get along. Do you have a good time with this person? Can you easily carry on a conversation with them? Do you find yourself missing them when apart?

  2. Did he kiss you? If he hasn't then typically you wont feel it. Just take a chance :)

  3. Take a chance, first dates are really hard to figure out chemistry. If by date 2 you feel nothing, then you probably won't. At the least, you could come out with a new friend or contact.
