So Little Time

I've had so little time.  I'm still dating the guy I was getting bored of.  Maybe he sensed I was getting bored?  I think he knew that I went on dates after the "I understand if you are dating others" talk.  Since then, he's been trying to occupy ALL my free time.  He wants to see me every day.  No, I do not and will not allow that.

  1. I wouldn't waste my time if he is boring, but then again boring may be better than the dates I have gone on. Haha! I've posted some on my blog. Boring and wants to occupy all of your time? Hmmm...maybe he is controlling?

  2. I don't understand why you'd continue dating someone if you're getting bored of them. Do you really have nothing better to do?

    1. Because people have off days, weeks, et al. Don't you have anything better to do than to write snarky comments on my blog?

  3. May be he just WANTS to see you every day, not trying to keep you busy :) May be you're just not on the same page with your feelings.

  4. Some people like spending lots of time together in relationships. I don't think it's a sign of control or trying to mark one's territory.

  5. He sounds like an energy drainer! What's worse than dating someone you think is boring... staying with someone you think is boring. Just some food for thought.

    1. I am usually very tired after I see him. I don't know if it's because he drains energy or because we eat too much

  6. I dated the boring guy for 3 years....only bc before that i dated the fun cheating on the side and I didn't know it guy for 5 years. I am hitting the 1 year single mark now after boring guy, and not sure I made the right decision. I felt like I was just with the boring guy because I knew he wasn;t a player. I'm a loss of what someone in their early 30's like I should do as well. Its frustrating. How many dates in did you have the "dating other people talk" I'm 6 dates in with a new guy and seeing each other maybe once a week. Not sure if I like him or not. It can be hard to trust your feelings!

    1. Are you also in SF? A good friend married the "boring guy." Unfortunately, it seems like she is miserable. With this current guy, I think I was getting bored of the routine. 95% of our dates were dinner where we'd talk about the same things. So now, more day trips, mini vacations, et al.

It was more than 10 dates before he brought exclusivity. I know usually it's the women who bring it up, not me. It was about 50-75 or more dates when he brought up the, "fine if you date others" talk.

    2. I'm in man Jose in the South Bay and still it's just so so. I'm glad to hear. Didn't make the same decision, I felt more lonely with him there than being alone. I usually also try to be the hold out on the L word and exclusive. Do you think he mentioned the dating others to try and get the exclusivity talk rolling? I just don't trust my feelings after my last two long lasting relationships, and at 31 I don't want to keep wasting my time on crappy guys - aka said cheater

  7. Sorry about what happened to you. I rarely bring up the L word or exclusivity. I leave it up to him. I think he was testing my level of interest in him?
