Super Bowl Preparations

The Super Bowl is in Santa Clara, CA this year.  I believe Santa Clara is about two hours from San Francisco.  Why are all the festivities taking place up here?  Getting around by foot, car, public transportation, et al are very difficult.  Super Bowl preparations appear to be taking place all over the city.  Major streets have been closed to cars and pedestrians.  Pedestrians too?  I might go out of town to avoid the chaos.

    I am SO IRRITATED with this Super Bowl bullshit! Very happy about the continuous defacing of the "50" statues throughout the city. Mayor Lee is a total toolbag.

    I like the signs being rearranged to say "Superb Owl." I had to go through metal detectors to access the BART station and it wasn't even for BART, it was to set foot in Super Bowl city. Unfortunately my gym is right by the Embarcadero so I can't avoid the area.

      Metal detectors? Insane. How has it been out there? One of my friends is trying to get me to check out Super Bowl city...

      My faves are "UP R BOWEL" and "LEE ROBS" but "SUBERB OWL" also makes me giggle. I think tomorrow or Friday I may brave the area to check out the Puppy Bowl at Gott's. Or I may wuss out. We'll see.
