Meh, No
That really old guy I went out with months ago texted me to grab a drink tomorrow night. I'm not going to even bother responding because: 1) he's not a realistic boyfriend candidate and 2) tomorrow night? Hah!
Did he follow up after that date months ago? Or is this the first contact? You could say "I appreciate the invite, but I don't think we'd be a good romantic match."
If he's interesting as a person (networking?) and you have no plans, could be fun!
Just tell him you're not interested, be considerate. What did he do to deserved being ignored?

There has been virtually no follow up besides Happy New Year and Merry Christmas
