Another Date, Different Guy
I went on another date tonight, different guy from the five strikes guy. There was absolutely no chemistry, but the date itself (two people meeting each other to chit chat) was okay. We chatted, had some laughs, and ate some food. He did not grill me or force me to agree with his viewpoints, huge improvement from that other guy last week.

If he asks you out again, you should go. It took me two dates to really feel chemistry with my boyfriend and I normally would not have bothered after date one. But our rapport was good and I'm glad I stuck it out.
ReplyDeleteIt was like talking to a girl friend
Delete"grill me or force me to agree with his viewpoints" --> in all my years of dating in SF, I've never come across guys like this. Some were not exactly winners and a few socially awkward, but no one went on a date with me for sheer arguing. You need to date more guys and loosen up your requirements.
ReplyDeleteI meet these guys all the time, the are the only guys I meet. Where/how would you recommend I meet a different type of guy? I feel like I'm already on a lot of dating sites, lol.
DeleteIn real life, I work with mostly women, I am not part of a sports league, I go to business events where almost everyone there appears to be focused on business, yadda yadda
you complain a lot that guys grill you or ask questions, but I don't know how else one has conversation without asking questions. it's not necessarily 'grilling' if they want to know what you do.
Deletemaybe stop going to business events and go watch sports in a bar?
Maybe see him again, because sometimes nerves can impede chemistry? I started dating a guy that I had no chemistry with - he was nice, but no 'fireworks'. After date 5, I realised that there was chemistry and that I really enjoyed his company...
ReplyDeleteHow long have you two begin together?
DeleteSame with me... Didn't feel any chemistry with the guy at first but dated him anyway because he was super nice. Married for 11 years now, two kids. Don't wait for fireworks - quality is what really matters, not the initial chemical reactions of two bodies.
DeleteVery interesting! You guys are happy, right?
